Welcome to Rhapsody Studios

Our Aim is to offer the very finest instruction in a wide variety of dance forms to all age groups and levels, in a casual and fun environment. We seek to nurture and encourage all our dancers with a variety of exciting classes specifically for kids like Happy Nappies, Ballet, Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary Dance and more. Both group and private dance lessons are available. We invite you to experience the energy and spirit that is Rhapsody Studios.

Sheridan Warner Principal Dance Instructor: Sheridan Warner

Miss Sheridan Warner has been dancing since she was five and has been working in the industry for seven years and now has accomplished her life long dream of opening a Performing Arts Studio. She completed a full time course at BRENT ST STUDIOS and received a Certificate IV in Performing Arts. Here she studied Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Drama, Singing, Acrobatics, Ballroom, Pilates, Yoga, Musical Theatre and Anatomy. She then went on to complete a Certificate IV in Television and Film Production where she studied the use of lighting, sound and camera work, and all methods relating to the production of film and television.

Sheridan has had a lot of work in the dance industry. Some gigs include dancing at the Cancer Council Celebrity Charity Ball, Santa's Kingdom, live shows with Jason Coleman and David Atkins and representing Australia in Hong Kong with the Sydney Westsiders Cheer Squad. Sheridan has worked in the Entertainment Department of Wonderland, performing in various shows and appearing in character costumes such as Fred Flintstone, Scooby Doo, Spot the Dog, Cow and Chicken and a variety of ABC characters. She has also been a valued employee of Regprom Marketing who has sent her all over Sydney performing in kids shows such as the Tweenies Live Show, The Freddo Frog Show, Bill and Ben the Flowerpot Men Live show, Madagascar Live Show and various other promotional and character suit gigs. Sheridan has 12 years experience in the Rock Eisteddfod Challenge Competition and proud that her hard work and dedication always produces champion shows and is excited about entering her thirteenth year!!
 
Our Classes

Happy Nappies
A Mums and Bubs class. If they wear a nappy or just too little for little stars, this is the class for them.

Little Stars
An introductory fun class for beginner students aged 3yrs to 5yrs

 

Junior Jazz, Hip/Hop & Tap
Kids aged 6yrs to 9yrs

Intermediate Jazz, Hip Hop & Tap
Kids aged 10yrs to 15yrs

Advanced Jazz, Hip Hop & Tap
Kids aged 15 >

Pre-Primary Ballet
For students in pre-school who are toilet trained.

Primary Ballet
Little Stars or by assessment.

Grade 1 Ballet
For students that have completed Primary Ballet or aged 6yrs & up by assessment.

Grade 2 Ballet
For students that have completed Grade 1 Ballet or aged 7yrs & up by assessment.

Grade 3 Ballet
For students that have completed Grade 2 Ballet or aged 9yrs & up by assessment.
Any Intermediate Jazz students starting ballet for the first time will commence the year in this class. Any student not in primary school will be assessed for an older age group class.

Our Class Fees

Registration Fee
- $5

Private Lessons
- Half Hour $30
- Full Hour $60

Paying Weekly
- $10 per lesson which is to be paid at the beginning of each class on a weekly basis.

Paying by the Term
Term fees are due weeks 1 & 2 of each term. The cost is $90 for the term per hourly lesson. If it is your first term your first free lesson is taken off this fee making it $80 for the term. Please note that fees are due strictly in weeks 1 & 2 only. Fees are calculated in four increments over twelve months. A family discount of 10% applies to the second child and 15% for the third child’s term fees. Any other costs are to be paid in full.All fees, once paid, are non-refundable and non-transferable. All private lessons booked must be paid for in advance to your teacher. No credit is ever given for missed classes. Any unpaid accounts will be reported to the Credit Reference Association.

Our Uniform

In time there will be a studio uniform but until then these are the uniform requirements.

Jazz, Hip Hop

- Closed shoes, no thongs or sandals.
- Comfortable clothes, no dresses or skirts.
- If the child has jazz shoes or jazz boots they can wear them.

Tap
- Comfortable clothes, no dresses or skirts.
- Tap shoes required.

Ballet
- Leotard, Colour depends on grade.
- Pink ballet tights and Ballet Shoes.
- Hair must be in bun.
- Skirt if in Primary or Pre-Primary.
